Actor Darren Kent, known for roles in Game of Thrones, EastEnders, and Snow White and the Huntsman, has passed away at the age of 39 after battling long-term health issues

While he gained recognition for portraying a goatherder from Slavers Bay in Game of Thrones, also included EastEnders, Snow White and the Huntsman, Marshal's Law, Les Misérables, and more. 

Early Roles and Recent Projects 

Kent's acting journey began with a role in the 2008 horror film Mirrors. He continued to evolve as an actor, with his recent role being a reanimated corpse in the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Recognition and Awards 

The actor's talent was acknowledged with a best actor award at the 2012 Van D’or Independent Film Awards for his role in the short film Sunny Boy. He also directed and produced various short films, earning accolades for his work.

Personal Struggles 

Kent faced chronic health challenges, including arthritis, osteoporosis, and a rare skin disorder. These experiences influenced his acting choices, as seen in Sunny Boy where he portrayed a boy with a similar rare skin condition. 

Advocacy and Tribute 

Kent was an advocate for inclusion in performing arts, as he was a patron for Equal People Performing Arts, a nonprofit organization. Fellow actor Lee Mead and director/screenwriter Jane Gull paid heartfelt tributes, highlighting his positive nature and contributions to the industry. 

Talent Agency's Confirmation 

Kent's talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, confirmed his peaceful passing and expressed condolences to his family and loved ones. His parents and best friend were by his side during his final moments.
